19th C English Oil on Board Landscape with Original Gilded Frame

This is a charming and very well executed oil on board painting under glass of children on a log beneath a shade tree. Featuring its original gilded wooden frame, it has its original Winsor & Newton label on the reverse side, indicating a date of ~1880. The unsigned painting is in lovely condition with deft impasto and the frame is in fair condition with various minor chips and nicks. Perfect on a library table in its standing holder or as part of a collection of Victorian art, it evokes a nostalgic countryside feel.
