Large Pair of Framed Florentine Dried Botanicals #2, Dated 1905
We have two pairs of these large Florentine dried botanicals, as well as a single one, all with different species, but identically framed and they make a powerful statement (especially if you hang them side-by-side on a single wall). They are in good antique condition, but there has been some humidity that has seeped into the paper, giving each the backing of each botanical a wavy appearance. Also, the dating in ink on each one is slightly blurred and there is a bit of foxing, but they all date to between 1905 and 1912. The frames are solid and in chippy white paint that works beautifully with the botanicals. All handmade by an unknown artist in Florence in the early 20th century, they are elegant and quite detailed.
