Pair of English 19th Century Fireclay Lion Roundels/Fountain Masks
This unusual pair of large fireclay buff-colored lion roundels were originally embedded in a stone wall that flanked a grand staircase. The staircase led from the gardens to an impressive 18th C Georgian manor house in the north of England. Although the roundels are purely decorative, it would be quite easy to convert them into fountain masks and enjoy them spouting water into your swimming pool, spa or jacuzzi. Beautiful condition on the face side of the roundels; minor losses to the sides that were mortared into the wall. PLEASE NOTE that these are priced and sold individually.
