Pair of Tall English Cast Stone Urns on Exceptional Carved Pedestals

The gorgeous weathered surface of these large classic campana-form urns belies their true age, but only you will be the wiser. Beautiful lichen and mossy bits cover the surface and they have very deep planting wells, so can handle even the most profuse planting. Perfect flanking your doorway or garden entrance. Wonderful condition, with only a tiny chip to one rim.

We have paired these urns with a magnificent pair of mid-19th century English Renaissance Revival gritstone pedestals that are elaborately carved and feature fleur-de-lys and scrolls throughout. One pedestal features a large central medallion of a horseshoe and the other, a large central medallion of a castle. Both pedestals have large central medallions of sun faces on the opposite sides of the horseshoe and castle medallions. The pedestals are in superb condition, with only a few minor chips, but the bases on both are not original and date to the early 20th Century.

Urns: England, CA 1940.

Pedestals: England, CA 1850 and 1910.

The urns measure 26.8" hi x 20.5" diameter x 10" square foot
The pedestals measure 39" hi x 17" diameter
Overall dimensions: 65.8" hi x 20.5" diameter
